Santa Margalida is a particularly unspoiled village which retains all the charm of an almost vanished past while catering for the modern holidaymaker.
At the heart of the village is a large tree lined square which is surrounded by shops and tapas bars, and here you will find an imposing church which was built in the Gothic style. This square is the perfect place to relax and soak up the typically Spanish atmosphere of this traditional Majorcan village.
If You will feel like sightseeing, there is beautiful rural countryside close to the village, and the nearby S'Albufera National Park provides opportunities for the more active holidaymakers to indulge in activities such as hiking or cycling (you can hire a cycle here), or for people who want a more sedate way to pass the time, bird watching and picnics.
For beach lovers, the lovely Bay of Alcudia is only a seven kilometer car journey away, and for those who crave a more lively time, you could try the many shops, bars and restaurants in the nearby busy resort of Ca'n Picafort.
